Yahoo Commenters: Scum of the Earth

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the pure, unadulterated dregs of humanity that comment on news stories on Yahoo! Lord knows I've seen enough of their racist, xenophobic, hateful and idiotic drivel to know that most of them are likely sitting at home, completely sans friends, lucky they could even find the "on" button. But the comments I saw last night on a story about the upcoming surgery of Representative Gabby Giffords were just so horrifying that I had to post something:

It seems to me that since she is unable to carry out her job duties she should not be on the public payroll.

When tragedy stricks common folks and they can no longer fill their job duties they are fired!Of coarse it is political incorrect to bring any of this up about Gabby.Anyway it is sliced or diced Gabby needs to be removed from her position.

Our taxpayers are paying for a job Congresswoman Giffords is not capable of accomplishing.

The main concern here is to get someone in her seat that can perform her job. That is the only thing that matters.

Wow. Can you imagine people saying this about a police officer or a firefighter who was wounded in the line of duty? Being so concerned about their precious tax dollars that they think a public servant who was almost killed on their behalf should be canned while she is still recovering?

Just horrible, horrible people with no respect for their fellow citizens or even any common decency.  And I bet a bunch of them even have the nerve to call themselves "Christian," as if there is anything remotely Christ-like about these comments. Asshats.
